ALC YTH

We exist to connect Middle and High School students to Jesus and to each other.

ALC YTH is the Student Ministry of Abundant Life Church. We are passionate about reaching the students in our community and building connections with families. We gather together every Wednesday to have fun, cultivate community, and pursue God together! ALC YTH is specifically resourced for 6th to 12th-grade students.

Our goal is that ALC YTH provides a place for students to know their purpose, find their people, and walk in God-given power.

Wednesdays

We believe Wednesdays are the best night of the week! Every Wednesday, doors open at 6:30 pm so students can connect with friends, play games, and feel at home. At 7 pm, we gather for a high-energy worship service with music, an encouraging message, and small groups where students can grow alongside others their age and grade. Pick-up time is by 8:30 pm. For safety and easy flow, students are dropped off on the sanctuary side of the building and picked up on the gym side.

Sundays

Merge is designed just for middle school students and happens during all three of our Sunday services. Students will meet one of our Merge Teachers in the sanctuary lobby after worship to dive into the Bible using the SOAP method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer). Snacks are included, and students will be ready for pick-up in the sanctuary lobby after service!

FAQs

  • Nope! All students will check-in in the lobby once they are dropped off. Newcomers will fill out a connect card if they have not previously attended a YTH service.

  • We love our newcomers! We have each new student fill out a simple connect card (name, grade, address, contact) and then we connect them with their small group leader and a student. Parents are welcome to walk their student in to drop them off, however this is not mandatory. If you have any other questions for your first-time student please reach out to us at yth@myabundantlife.com!

  • ALC YTH is run by a team of amazing adult volunteers each week! Every adult that serves with a Next Gen ministry (Kids, ALC YTH, or Young Adults) does have a completed background check on file with Abundant Life Church and has been through ALC’s Child Protection Policy agreement.

  • While Wednesdays are the best night of the week, we do have more happening at ALC YTH! Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, we offer our High School Bible Study at the Stephens City Starbucks from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm. We also have our Merge Middle School Bible Study during all three of our Sunday Services after worship!
