Why should I be a part of a Group?

We’re so glad you asked!  ALC believes LIFE is better together and joining a Group will change your life!  Don’t do life alone.  We need one another.

How do I find a Group that’s right for me?

Great question!  We’ve set up a directory for you to search your interests and needs. You can filter by: Stage of Life, Group Focus, Day of the Week, and/or Child Friendly.  Once you’ve selected your options, you’re left with the Groups available that fit your criteria.

For example:  If you are looking for a Men’s Bible Study, you’ll go click on “men” and then go to “Group Focus” and select Bible Study.  All Groups that fall into that category will then pop up.

What usually happens at a Group that meets in a home?

Most of our “home Groups” meet every other week in the leader’s home.  Typically, there’s a meal shared that everyone contributes to, followed by a song or two of worship, and then there’s a discussion based on the previous Sunday’s message.  The discussion is always relevant to help you live a successful Christian life. These Groups are centered around relationship.

What if I choose the Bible Study option? How is this different?

Our Bible Study Groups run approximately 6-8 weeks/class.  Subjects and teachers will vary throughout the year.  Bible Study Groups can be held at ALC or in homes.  These Groups typically don’t include a meal or worship.  These Groups are centered around discipleship. 

How do I sign up for a Group once I’ve chosen one?

Easy-peasy!  You simply click on the Group you’d like to join (or get more info about) and hit the “Contact” button.  This is a direct link to email the leader for information about joining the Group!  If you already know about the Group, simply hit the “Join this group” button and follow in the prompts.  In either case, the Group leader will get in touch with you.
