You're a Piece of Work (the good kind)

Posted: October 02, 2017

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."

Sometimes it's hard to think of ourselves as masterpieces, so imagine with me for a minute. Picture a piece of clay on a spinning table. The artist has a vision for what it should look like at the end. While he's crafting this art, his hands are strong and always constant. He carefully takes out the imperfections, replacing them with what should go in it's place, but even during this process he thinks of it as beautiful. The art always has his attention. He's ever present in it's creation and journey.

I think you know where I'm going with this...we are the pottery. We are God's masterpiece. You are God's masterpiece. Perfectly designed, always being cared for and loved, even while He is taking out the sin in our life. Don't ever think you aren't loved or created with a purpose.

God, I thank you for your hands at work in my life. I thank you that through your eyes, I am your masterpiece. I pray that you would keep working on me, and take out anything that is prohibiting me from living out the calling you have placed on my life. Amen.
