Walking With Integrity

“The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.” - Proverbs 20:7 NKJV
If you live with integrity, your children will be blessed. If you walk upright, your children will have favor with God. If you honor God, He will honor them.
The Lord is quick to bless those who obey him, but he is also eager and able to bless their children, and on down through the generations. It is good to keep his commands, not only because he says so, but because our children will reap the reward. They will reap what we sow.
These past few weeks, we've learned about Jonah's disobedience to God and the consequences that came. But we also see that in his obedience, an entire city was blessed by God. What we sow spiritually, we reap spiritually. It is the same when it comes to your children and your legacy. I love this quote from Andy Stanley.
"What does it mean to walk with integrity? It applies to how we live. I wouldn't intentionally walk into harms way, in the natural, so don't do it in the supernatural."
Lord, thank you for speaking to me today and reminding why it's important to be obedient and walk with integrity. Help me, Lord, to walk with integrity, to be led by your Spirit, and to bring glory to you with every decision I make. May what I sow reap rewards in my life and in the generations to come. In Jesus' name, amen.
