Does anyone remember the show 'Jungle Jam & Friends?' Well there was a sweet little sloth on that show that would sing a song that goes like this:
You might think I'm lazy, you might think I'm slow
I'm never in a hurry anywhere I go
You might think I'm sleepy, you might think I'm ill
I've just learned the secret of being very still.
Sloths are slow. We know this. Painfully slow! But that's how God made them and they somehow still manage to do all the things animals need to do to survive. And honestly, it sounds pretty peaceful.
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9
God is not slow, even though we may feel like He's taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R to answer a prayer or make good on a promise. He knows things we don't, and He is never late. So if you're waiting for something today, pray for more patience (that's waiting with a good attitude) and trust Him. He knows.
God, I trust You. I trust You to take care of me and those I love. I trust You to honor every promise in Your Word. I trust that You know better than I do about every situation and I trust that You are good. All the time. Amen.
