One vs The Other

Stay with me here. I want to show you the stark difference between walking in the flesh vs walking in the Spirit:
"Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like..." (Galatians 5:19-21)
Yikes! Maybe you have not committed murder or adultery, but almost all of us have experienced hatred, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, selfishness...just thinking about it brings up memories I wish I didn't have. But! There is hope:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (Galatians 5:22)
You might be thinking "I want that!" Me, too! How do we get these? Make way for His Spirit - pray, read His Words, pray, practice them, pray, worship and then pray some more. We can't make these happen on our own. His Spirit is the key!
Jesus, I want to walk in Your Spirit and not my own. Show me how to foster the growth of all Your spiritual fruits. Thank You for walking with me all the days of my life. Amen.
