Have you ever ignored a knock at your front door? Don’t lie now!
As much as I hate to admit it, I’ve been guilty of this a time or two. Usually I only ignore the knock at the door for sales people or people I don’t know if I’m home alone.
But we’ve all been guilty of this at least once! Especially when that neighbor (who’s just a little weird) comes over unannounced. That’s the time you turn off all the lights and hide in the closet, hoping they don’t notice you’re home!
But did you know that God is standing at the door of our hearts and knocking? Have you invited him in? Or are you desperately trying to hide and ignore the thud on the door?
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.”
- Revelation 3:20-21 NLT
Lord, thank you that you are standing at the door of my heart and knocking. I invite you in! I want to walk through life with you, and one day I want to be victorious with you in Heaven. In Jesus’ name, amen.
