"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."  Ephesians 2:10

I looked up the word 'handiwork' and had a duh moment.  It means work done by hand.  Duh.

But then I thought about any work that is done by hand: it's a big deal!  Think about pottery, embroidery, or a cookie that's too pretty to eat.  Cheap stuff is cranked out by a machine and then it's "a dime a dozen."  But a handmade piece is unique, intricate, and valuable.

YOU are GOD'S handiwork.  He made you BY HAND and He prepared good works for you IN ADVANCE.  He's not winging it.  He's not making it up as He goes along.  Great care and commitment went into your creation, and now you get to live it out!

Heavenly Father, sometimes I don't feel unique or valuable, but I believe Your Word.  Thank You for preparing things for me and my life - I want to honor and glorify You with it all!  Amen.
