Galatians 5:22-23 "The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
Every situation is a chance to ask ourselves what kind of fruit we are producing. How easily do you let your annoying coworker get the best of you? How are you letting fear control your life? Are you tired of waiting on God to show up in your situation?
All of these are normal, human thoughts. But with the Holy Spirit inside us, we don't get to just have fleshly thoughts. When we pursue to be more like Jesus, we will see that we will have more self-control with that coworker (no matter how frustrating they may be). You will be able to find peace. You will have patience and will look forward to what God is going to do through your situation.
All of our actions are producing a fruit of some kind. I don't know about you, but I'd like to look back and say that I made a big bowl of fruit salad.
Jesus I want to be more like you. Holy Spirit, help guide my life today and everyday. I pray that the decisions I make will produce good fruit, fruit that leads people back to You. Amen.
