Matthew 18: 12-14 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish."
Have you ever felt like you were always the last one to be picked? Maybe you're the last one picked for the promotion or maybe your spouse is deemed as the "fun parent," making you the second best. We spend a lot of time telling ourselves what we aren't good enough for. We think we aren't good enough to be God's first choice. But God doesn't forget about those who think they've messed up "too much". He doesn't shy away from pursuing the ones who ran away from Him. He chases after you every time. He chooses you first every time. YOU are the one He has His eyes set on.
God, I am so thankful that you chase after me. Thank you for choosing me and taking delight in me. I pray that today I won't run from your love, instead I will walk in it. Amen.
