"Share eachother's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ"  Galatians 6:2

A burden is a load that is difficult to carry.  A burden can be a tangible thing like moving from one house to another, or an emotional thing like the loss of a loved one.  I would argue that we're all carrying at least one burden at any given time.  To share someone's burden - to offer to carry part of the load for a time - is the epitome of love.  Love is not a feeling, it is a commitment, and committing to help someone who is carrying a difficult load is exactly what Jesus did.

Father, You know the burden I'm carrying, and the burdens of those around me.  Thank you for allowing me to access peace, joy, and freedom through Your Son, Jesus.  I want to show that love to others.  Help me to be aware of the burdens You would have me help with.  Help me to be aware of those who love me who can help carry mine.  Amen.
