I think it's safe to say that all of us have felt "bone tired" at some point. When your eyes burn and your muscles feel tender and even your bones ache for some quality sleep, ugh...it's not a good feeling. But just when you think you can't go on another minute, you do. Somehow we get done what needs doing and we make it through another day/night.
If you're feeling bone tired today, let this encourage you:
"For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind." Isaiah 40:30
The key words are "wait upon God." AKA trust in the Lord. AKA walk by faith. AKA rest in Jesus. AKA cast your cares on Him.
Receive His fresh strength and allow Him to carry you through this day/week/season of tired. He's with you and He wants you to lean into Him.
Heavenly Father, I know You are strong enough to hold me up when I'm too tired to go on. Better yet, You want to! Give me strength for this day and week. I want to see You and feel You and know that You are with me. Thank You for never leaving me when I'm tired. Amen.
