Mahatma Gandhi has been quoted, “If we are to reach real peace in this world… we shall have to begin with children.”
Whether you’re a parent, teacher, aunt or uncle, cousin, pastor, boss or friend to a young person, you must realize the influence you have on their life. If we are to train up a generation that will advance God’s kingdom and further His glory among the nations, we must start encouraging our young people to start now.
Pray for them, challenge them in their weaknesses and encourage them in their strengths. Teach them to be bold in their faith! Lead them along the right path, so that they can be shining examples of Christ to a world that desperately needs to know Him.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
- 1 Timothy 4:12 NLT
Lord, thank you for the young people in our world. Help them to be bold for Christ, and to set an example for the world in their actions. Help me to encourage the young people that are in my sphere of influence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
