Have you ever laid under the stars just for fun? If you haven’t, you need to!
Wait for a clear night, turn off the lights, grab a blanket and just do it. I dare you!
You can’t look at the stars and not realize just how big God is. It’s pretty humbling, actually. The book of Isaiah says that God can measure the heavens with his fingers. Whoa! I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need that reminder. Our immeasurable and all powerful God made the heavens and earth, and yet he loves and cares for me. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?”
If he holds the world in His hands, he can certainly take care of me, no matter my circumstances. Now that’s blessed assurance!
“He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!”
– Psalm 147:4-5 NLT
Lord, looking at the stars reminds me of your greatness and magnitude. You are an awesome God and worthy of all praise. Thank you for always taking care of me. Help me to trust in you no matter the circumstances. In Jesus’ name, amen.
