While You're Waiting

Posted: October 15, 2018

In our own lives, we can read a scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11 and forget that while God's plans for our lives may be prosperous and hopeful, they have an appointed time. (The Israelites had to wait 70 years for God's promise to come to fruition!)

Sometimes, God's timing and promises aren't in line with my timing or plans. And that's ok, because God's timing is perfect, and He knows best, and He only gives me the best. So sometimes, I just have to wait. And the best thing to do while waiting is to worship!

No matter what promise you're holding on to, know that it is coming at God's appointed time, and while you're waiting, worship Him.

"Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness."  Psalm 34:9.

God, I know your plans for me are great. Sometimes it's hard to trust those plans because they seem so far away. But your promises are true and they stand forever. Help me to trust You with my life. I'm taking this moment right now to praise You and worship You, because no matter how long your promises take, they will be worth the wait. In Jesus' name, Amen.
