While You're Waiting

Posted: June 09, 2016

In our own lives, we can read a scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11 and forget that while God's plans for our lives may be prosperous and hopeful, they have an appointed time. (The Israelites had to wait 70 years for God's promise to come to fruition!) Sometimes, God's timing and promises aren't in line with your timing or plans. And that's ok, because God's timing is perfect, and he knows best, and he only gives you the best. So sometimes, you just have to wait. But don't just wait -- worship while you're waiting.

No matter what promise you're holding on to, know that it is coming at God's appointed time, and while you're waiting, worship him.

"Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness."

 - Psalm 34:9.

God, I know your plans for me are great. Sometimes it's hard to trust those plans because they seem so far away. But your promises are true and they stand forever. Help me to trust you with my life. I'm taking this moment right now to praise you and worship you, because no matter how long your promises take, they will be worth the wait. In Jesus' name, amen.
