The Trouble with Troubles
Posted: June 07, 2016
Chances are I don’t need to ask you if you’ve ever been through hard times. ALL of us have gone through tough times, experienced pain, loss or heartache. No one is immune to troubles, which is the troubling thing about troubles! But sometimes when you’re face down in the dirt, covered in the muck and mud of your circumstances and feeling like you just can’t move, you have to stand up and speak the Word of God, out loud, over your life. You have to choose to put your hope in God, even if you don’t feel like it. Pray His word over and over again, until it starts to take root in your heart.
“Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!” - Psalm 42:11 NLT
Lord, even when I don’t feel like there’s any hope, I will choose to put my hope in you, and I will choose to praise you. Help me to trust in you for the strength I need each day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
