Don't do it alone!

If you’ve been in church before, you’ve probably heard the phrase, “everyone’s a missionary!” You’ve heard preachers talk about how missionaries aren’t just those who go overseas, and that your workplace, school, and even the grocery store is your mission field. But sometimes, our mission field here can feel just as scary as the jungles of Africa!
What do I say when someone asks me about my faith? Or about sensitive issues in our culture like who uses what Target bathroom? What if I get something wrong or don’t know the answers to their questions? Sometimes the thought of talking about Jesus to someone else is overwhelming. But guess what? You don’t have to do it alone!
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- Acts 1:8
Lord, thank you that you will give me power through the Holy Spirit to be a missionary right where I am. Help me to have boldness in proclaiming your truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
