We all worry. Or maybe you don't call it "worry" - maybe for you it's a "concern."
Whether it's worry or concern, we all do it. With money. With safety when we travel. About our kids. About fitting in. About what people think. About being accepted.
Sometimes it's about the must have's, what if's, the can't happen's.
Sometimes it's about that job/promotion we want. Sometimes it's about that college acceptance letter we're waiting for.
Matthew 6:33 says that if we put God and His Kingdom first, we don't have to worry and we don't have to be concerned. We don't have to because God will meet every one of our needs. We won't have to because God will take care of every one of our concerns. We won't have to because if we make our future about Him, he will give us a future full of hope and prosperity (Jer. 29:11).
So worry not, and concern not. Make God first in your life. Make His Kingdom and it's advancement number one. Make your life about His agenda, and then witness His mighty power at work in your life.
Lord, sometimes I worry my way through my day or week, but today I am reminded that I can trust you, because you're faithful. Help me to put you first and trust you for everything else in my life that needs your attention. Thank you for the hope that I have in you. In Jesus' name, amen.
