About Us

Our Pastors:

For the past eighteen years, Pastors John and Kristen Miller have served together to Pastor Abundant Life Church, a dynamic, life-filled church. John and Kristen have 3 children; two married daughters, Klairese and Kyrah, and a son Josiah.

With hearts to minister to the people in Northern Virginia and beyond, Pastors John and Kristen have been leading Abundant Life Church since 2004.  Under their guidance, Abundant Life has continued its growth as a multi-site congregation that not only gathers nearly 1,200  each week but reaches those beyond the region through Abundant Life Church Online. ALC has grown into a thriving church with a heart to love Jesus and make Him known.

Through Pastor John’s practical preaching style, vision casting, and gifts of leadership, he encourages people to live out Abundant Life’s mission to live a successful Christian life.

Pastor John holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Valley Forge University and continues to further his reach with a heart to offer spiritual coaching.

Pastor Kristen founded Lavish Sisterhood, the women’s ministry of Abundant Life in 2005. Her heart is mentorship, so every girl would know she is a lavishly loved daughter of the most high God.

Together, they work to fulfill the Great Commission in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Our Beliefs:

Our 16 Fundamental Truths

This “Statement of Fundamental Truths” contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. Four of these, Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to the church’s core mission of reaching the world for Christ.

Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truth

The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10 [KJV/NIV]; Acts 2:42 [KJV/NIV]). The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired nor contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full-gospel ministry. No claim is made that it covers all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.
